BIOGRAPHY
Mette Ovgaard is a Copenhagen based photographer.
In her work, she focuses on capturing the unseen subjects within the landscape, examining how we relate to them across the threshold of day and night.
She is particularly drawn to photographing after dark, where familiar motifs transform, taking on an unexpected and poetic expression hidden by daylight.
As a photographer, she positions herself as a distant observer in an exploratory search for that which remains unresolved—investigating how we truly experience, or fail to experience, the environment that surrounds us.
